MOUNTAIN COMMUNITIES

Highway 65, aka the scenic byway of Grand Mesa, is a drive through historic towns, and completes a circle from highway 50 back to I70. The Surface Creek Valley is known for fruit orchards owned by many generational growers in the area. Cedaredge offers many services for residential or visitor needs--a museum, banks, grocery store, c-stores, campground, restaurants, bakery, coffee shops, antique stores, gift and specialty shops, car repair, park, rodeo grounds, golf course, churches, wineries, post office, medical and dental clinics, schools, and more with the beautiful Surface Creek waters rushing through the middle of it all. Orchards and fields with neighbors surround the areas. The quiet and lush of these locations offer great opportunities for bird watching and wildlife views. To the south, Delta is a larger town with major shopping stores, hospital, airport, schools, golf course, among many services. Nearby Sweitzer Lake State Park offers boating, fishing, picnic areas, and hiking. Grand Junction is approximately an hour away with major shopping, regional airport, colleges, national parks, high desert recreation, and so much more.
