Details

Log Home

The open layout of this large 3-bedroom 2-bathroom log cabin gives all the occupants plenty of room. It is being sold fully furnished and will sleep 10+ with its current setup. The spacious loft would make a great master retreat, with the remaining two bedrooms in the basement. One of the basement bedrooms is non-conforming and does not have a window or an outside wall to put a window but would make an excellent office to work from home. The second bedroom in the basement is large and has lots of light from the two windows.

The sizeable kitchen has room for a small breakfast table plus plenty of room to cook. The open concept main floor has a separate dining room table and comfortable furniture to relax after a long day in the woods.

Montana Big Game Hunting Property

This is a large cabin on 63 acres is in Montana’s 370 Hunting district. The northern border of the property follows Quinn Creek, you then drive-up Dry Hollow to reach the cabin situated on the back half of the property. This property is bordered by not one, but two sections of public land. The eastern border of the property is adjacent to 665+ acres of Montana State Land. This section has a large open prairie portion at around 5000’ elevation with Quinn Creek running through the northern half. Antelope and mule deer are commonly viewed on this part of the land. The southern portion of this section is heavily wooded and rises to over 6000’. The south side of the parcel borders 642+ acres of Deer Lodge National Forest Service. This section is also heavily wooded and starts at around 5600’ in the Northwest corner where Quinn Creek cuts across and climbs to over 6800’ where it clears out into a huge opening known as Quaintance Park. Elk, deer, moose, bear, bobcat, and more have been sighted here.

There is an additional primitive cabin on the property that was used as a hunting camp prior to the construction of the main home. This cabin would take some work to be able to be used again but has great potential to be used to house additional hunters during the fall.

Prepper / Survival Property For Sale

This 1997 log cabin is tucked away on a wooded hillside. Power to the house comes primarily from a large solar array charging an 8-battery bank. New batteries in 2020. Back-up power to the house comes from a propane generator, new in 2017 with around 100 hours. A second back-up generator is included with the sale of the home but is not currently plumbed into the propane tanks. The house is accessible year-round, with only a couple other neighbors, but this isn’t your every-day drive-up property. You are well guarded from civilization. Leaving the highway, there is a deeded easement across private land along a private road. Once across the private property, you will cut across a section of Montana State Land before reaching the property. While this property is accessible year-round, 4-wheel drive is necessary at certain times of the year.

The well produces good clean water at 20gpm with a drill stem set at 120 feet. Secondary water source comes from a water right for the snow runoff and drainage that goes next to the house.

The 30’x30’ 2 car garage/shop has great storage potential, or there is plenty of room to clear out an area and build a bunker.

There are no covenants or restrictions on the property, allowing you full use of the land as you see fit.

Vacation Rental

If you are looking for a mountain retreat to get away from it all, this property is for you. It sits on 63 wooded acres, in the Heart of Montana. There will be no drive-by traffic to disturb your serenity as the only access to the property is via a deeded easement across private and public lands. In other words, it’s a private road, not open to the public. Your only visitors will be the deer, elk, bear, moose, and other wildlife that frequent the property.

When you are not using it as your personal vacation home, you can use it as a short-term rental to others looking for that peaceful vacation. There are plenty of trails and places to hike as it is bordered by over 1300 acres of public land. Or rent it out to hunters looking to get their next trophy animal.
