After a career in sales and marketing throughout the Northeast, Southeast and the Midwest, Mary and her husband Sean settled on Lake Wateree in the “Midlands” of South Carolina over 16 years ago. Sean and Mary had always dabbled in Real Estate through their careers as well as personally which lead to the purchase of one of the oldest “United” franchises in the state and the only national real estate franchise located in Fairfield County. South Carolina offers a balance of industry, commerce, recreation, agriculture and natural beauty. It is a great area in which to live, work and play. South Carolina is where the summer comes early and stays late. Lakes Murray, Monticello and Wateree are filled with bass, catfish, crappie and bream. The woods are teaming with deer, turkey, dove and various other small game.

Mary is no novice at waterfront living. She is the third generation in her family who spent summers on a small island near Algonac, Michigan on the St. Clair River between the United States and Canada swimming before she could walk and fishing for fresh water perch and walleye since she was five years old. While living in Florida she learned to deep sea fish. Later she mastered fly fishing while living in Vermont. She is also an avid deer hunter and takes full advantage of the four month hunting season that South Carolina affords.

Mary has always had a special place in her heart for historic homes and is United Country’s International Director for Historic Properties. She has spent much of her time over the last 16 years learning, listing and selling these properties and had one of the best teachers/mentors in the South and North Carolina historic real estate community.

Mary’s interest in historic homes, waterfront living, hunting, fishing and other outdoor recreational pursuits makes her the ideal resource for finding your special piece of South Carolina. She enjoys swimming, hunting, fishing, cooking, gardening, reading, piloting her pontoon boat around Lake Wateree and keeping her father and husband out of trouble (a full time job all by itself).
